San Francisco Bowling Center to Host Professional Bowlers Tour Event, August 31st through September 2nd
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 24, 2007 -- Some of the best bowlers on the West Coast will be at Sea Bowl Entertainment & Bowling Center in Pacifica over Labor Day weekend to participate in the 4th Annual Don Johnson Memorial Classic Tournament. The host of this bowling tournament is Tony Reyes, a touring professional on the Professional Bowlers Tour who was the winner of the Motor City Classic.
Reyes is one of the very few bowlers to shoot a perfect game in the televised semi-final match and go on to win the Motor City Classic Tournament. Reyes is a local of the San Francisco Bay Area. He was a junior bowler for many years and a graduate from San Jose State University. He went on to become a professional bowler in 1998.
The Don Johnson Memorial Classic Tournament will have a variety of events preceding the actual bowling tournament. All events will take place on the bowling alleys (http://www.seabowl.com) at Sea Bowl Entertainment & Bowling Center.
On Friday August 31st, there will be Senior Pro-Am and a Stars of Tomorrow Youth Pro-Am where Senior and Youth Bowlers will have an opportunity to bowl with the professional bowlers as well as win cash prizes for the seniors and scholarships for the youth bowlers. Following the Pro-Am, there will be a PBA Shoot-out Tournament for the Pros. On Saturday September 1st, the first round of qualifying for the tournament will be followed by an Adult Pro-Am event. Sunday will be the round robin match play as well as the stepladder finals. This year's event will also feature Senior Professional Bowlers. There will be one final match on Sunday between the Winning Pro and the Winning Senior Pro. This will be an exciting event and all are welcomed to come to Sea Bowl and be a part of the excitement.
During the Pro-Am Events, there will be a Silent Auction as well as a Raffle with all of the proceeds to benefit the "Fight against Diabetes". Proceeds will directly benefit youths with diabetes. The silent auction will feature bowling equipment as well as many autographed items from professional bowlers and framed autographed jerseys.
